UKG Assessment Standard

How UKG controls question banks, examination blueprints, practical assessment, thresholds, integrity and certification decisions.

UKG Assessment Standard

UKG operates an internal, documented assessment standard for its professional personnel certifications.UKG is an independent professional certification body. Each receiving organisation determines how it will use or recognise a credential under its own requirements.

Controlled examination model

  • Minimum 120 approved active question-bank items per certification.
  • 60 questions per live examination: 50 knowledge and 10 professional-judgment/ethics items.
  • 90-minute examination duration.
  • Randomised form assembly for every attempt using an active blueprint.
  • Questions are mapped to the certification competency domains and difficulty levels.
  • Domain selection follows the published scheme weightings; difficulty is intentionally mixed to avoid an all-easy or all-advanced form.

Pass rules

  • Knowledge component: at least 65%.
  • Professional judgment & ethics: at least 70%.
  • Practical case assessment: at least 70% against a controlled 100-point rubric.
  • Weighted overall certification score: at least 70%.
  • All required components must be passed; unresolved integrity, critical-failure or evidence exceptions prevent automatic certification.

Assessment balance

The certification decision combines knowledge (40%), practical assessment (40%) and professional judgment & ethics (20%). Training attendance or payment does not substitute for assessment.

Quality and integrity controls

Question items are version-controlled, access-controlled and subject to ongoing item analysis. Ambiguous, weak or exposed items can be suspended, revised or retired. Practical work is scored against a documented rubric. Integrity signals are reviewed as evidence indicators and are not treated as automatic proof of misconduct.

Independence and limitations

Certification decisions follow the active scheme and recorded assessment evidence. Commercial, partnership and training relationships do not grant authority to change questions, thresholds or certification outcomes. This internal standard is a UKG operating control and is not a statement of third-party accreditation.
